can anyone lead me to a good sorce on how to do a leak down test. im pretty sure i have a boost leak

Good link. On my car, to do the boost leak test correctly I have to rotate the crank to close all the valves. Otherwise boost pressure slips right past the throttleplate and leaks past whichever valves happen to be open.

And it's also a good idea to have the car warmed up, as with a compression or leak-down test...even though most threads don't mention that.
