Edm,
I'm going to replace my 14b turbine with a monster housing. Will I run less boost with the same actulator since the wastegate flapper is larger? Also will I need to get a different o2 housing?

thanks,

so you're saying that you want to go to a 10cm^2 or larger housing? Why?

in the case of something like a hahn 16g, it uses a small 16g compressor housing and wheel, and a 10cm2 turbine housing. Same actuator and such as a 16g.

so you're saying you're going spend 200+ on a larger 10 cm^2+ housing?? for your tiny 14b? why?

14bs are proven to get into 11's on an AWD setup [ extreme, usually 12's ]. the only thing you're going to do with a larger housing is kill your spool up time and gain very little top end.

if you get a larger housing, the hotside will still be the same restrictive one unless you get a larger one or port it out. and even still, you'll be able to use your stock o2.

basically, it doesn't make sense to do that. buy a b16g and be happy

Ya your right! I just don't have money right now. I'll just port it out untill I can get a evo 3. This turbo is way to small for a 2.3l.

Ah, i didnt know you had a stroker kit.

Most people with strokers tend to have at least an FP green sized turbo, more commonly a 3065.

Those are Bullseye Power Turbine housings. Many people have them on their cars. I have one of those housings with an HX-35 turbo and it Rocks!!!

The boost pressure will be the same. The Turbine housing will not change the level your boost is at because it will still be referenced of the same line that it was before I would imagine.
