Knowledgeable DSMers what do you think of this tubular manifold

i have had one of these headers on my car now for 6 months and had no problems. it has been working great. faster spools, my car pulls 5 times harder then it did before. also cooler operating temp. my turbo doesn't get neer as hot as it did. but everyone has there preferance.
i did have a 2g ported manifold on before.

ive seen so many 2g manifolds with way over 100000 miles on them with zero cracks.

its probably not going to happen and if it does, itll take a longgg time. i mean come on, if most of these manifolds are 10 years old now with no cracks, i just cant see them doing it any time soon.

BTW dsmturboawd your many pointless posts to boost your rating are getting annoying.

ratings? please. i dont even know what the ratings are.

You want to think about that one for a second? Find me ONE 2g manni that is 10 years old and I will give you one million dollars, since most of them are it wont be to hard. :D

don't get ready for payment yet. they didn't start producing them till till may or june of 94 so you are a little early. and if they don't have cracks then they will very soon.

alright, for all of you looking to buy those style of tublar manifolds, you need to stop and learn a little bit about exhaust flow. sure the stock exhaust manifold is really bad, and upgrading to a tublar one like that style is better, but theres so much more to be gained out of an exhaust manifold.

picture this; a golf ball gun is shooting golf balls into a tube, one after another. Stock manifold: the golf balls are ramming into eachother producing a backfire in the cylinder of the golf ball gun (in our case, the cylinder of the conbustion chamber.
you need a plethera of length in the exhaust manifold the creat a push/suction effect to take advantage of every bit of power your engine produces. so, this way, by the time one cylinder combusts, the exhaust gasses create a suction effect to pull the next combustion towards the turbo.
20 inches of tublar manifold is the correct length to take full advantage on 2.0 liter engines.
so, the moral of the story is; dont waste your money on these cheap tublar manifolds. they wont release the true power that could be hand if you did a sidewinder style tublar manifold.

if anyone wants to see pics of this kind of manifold i can show you.
