Knocking sound from tranny

I am hearing a knocking noise that sounds like its coming from my tranny.It happens when I first engage the clutch or if it is in gear and I dont have either the brakes or gas on.I have no idea what it is for sure so if anyone knows let me know.

I'm going to take a stab. Are you having shifting problems also? is 3rd and 4th getting hard to get in gear? If you have this, I would chance a guess at input bearing and if left long enough it can chip teeth on input/cluster gear. I see this every once in a while.

You could have something in the clutch area, but either way I would almost bet that the trans is going to come out.
