Ok, so there is the facts. I've recently pulled the tranny out to a complete clean up and inspection of the piece itself and now i got problem with it. I want to know if someone have ever had this symptom before to confirm my diagnosis. So the tranny is hitting the 400 000 km right now ( 250 000 miles ) . Like i've said i have opened it up to look for bearings and all the things.... bearings were slightly used of course but nothing very dramatic. Just very normal wear in the cups and the cages. So i have reinstalled the thing with no new pieces except for a new TOB and clutch. Retorqued everything to the specs. And filled the tranny with 75/80 oil. Important to mention that tranny never made any weird sounds before.

Now, when im in neutral, knocking sound is coming from the tranny, not so loud but enough to heard it in the car. When i push the clutch to the floor ,the sound stop. No shifting problem and d'ont hear it when im driving, only in neutral.

I'm suspecting input shaft bearings and i want to try a more consistent oil type maybe.
