knockin after 5 min took head off..

i just picked up a 90gst with suposedly 60k miles on the drivetrain. i had it towed to my house just for safe keeping because it was leakin from the headgasket. now i started up the car and it idles nicely but after 5 minutes of idle it starts to knock. its not a drastic knock but its bothering me. so today i took the entire head off. should i get it milled and rebuilt of if i should just clean it up and get a gasket set. i have a stock 14b turbo on the car but theres a huge crack. do u think if i keep the head the same and get a new 14b itll get worse? please get back to me thanks in advance

The way it sounds its not that bad. Id say if you have the money like that to rebuild it than go ahead,but if not Id replace the turbo and try runnin synthetic oil. I myself am a Mobil1 fan. Btw yes atleast change the headgasket. Dont buy felpro tho..Hope that helps. Goodluck

You were saying the turbo was cracked correct? That just seems alittle odd. How bad is the crack?

crack is about 1 1/2 inch, i dont know how it happend
