I got a datalogger and hooked it up. I got like 34 counts of knock in the top of 3rd. I was running 17 psi. I turned the boost down and made some adjustments on the afc. Running 15psi @ W.O.T I am still getting 26 counts in 3rd. I even get counts when I am half throttle around town or on the freeway. It seems the second the waste gate opens i get knock. I thought it was phantom knock but i put in some race gas and it all went away.... I also noticed that the first few spool ups of the day it dosent knock as bad. I think my problem is heat soaking my side mount inter cooler.... I got a 216 FMIC on its way. I think this will help! What do you think....

Can you post some of your logs? It is always a good idea to test for boost leaks, those can cause all types of problems. I am also sure you are probably heat soaking the intercooler at the end of 3rd and probably all throughout 4th. I would need to see some logs though.

I would look at your ignition timing first, especially since you indicate that with higher octane fuel it went away.

How are your plug wires and plugs? Drop in some NGK wires and NGK BPR7ES plugs. That might help.
