knock help?

Today I got my highest amount of knock since I installed DSMlink. I had 2-3 deg. of knock at 2-2800 RPM. I have not even adjusted anything yet since I dont know what Im doing really.

what are all your other numbers? can ya post a log? rpm, O2's, knock, and timing. by the way, 2-3 counts of knock ain't bad.

k, well we need more info then. and wy would it be bad just cause it's on dsmllink? knock is knock and 2-3 counts isn't very high, unless you have to multiply that number times X amount of numbers to get the real knock count or something

Knock retard is measured in degrees. The other knock, like monitored on a datalogger palm is meausured in counts. The thread starter stated he was getting 2-3 degrees, so I assumed he mean knock retard, since he is running link, like me, so I understand what he is asking.

oh okay, i never knew knock could be measured in degrees. guess i learn something everyday on here.

The count is the actual number of instinces of knock that the ECU "hears".

The degree is the number of degrees of timing that the ECU pulls based on the actual number of knock counts.

I hope that made sense.
