knock from sidemount?

So, I dropped in some new FIC 750's. I tuned up the latency and scaling. So, right now I'm pulling WOT at 10.6 until I get everything straight, then I'm going to raise it a little.

But, now I'm getting some knock and engine retard at the top end of second gear on occasion.

Mods are:
3" exhaust
evo3 EM
14b with 7cm hotside
3" o2 housing
running 19psi atm because my o2 housing needs some porting
STOCK SIDEMOUNT

Can the stock sidemount be causing me to get knock at this psi?

I have a vrsf fmic sitting upstairs waiting for install, but I was concerned if the sidemount could cause the ignition retard.

It definitely can, smaller turbo's create less dense, higher temp air to enter the engine. You can pull some timing out and see if that helps you out a bit.

You can try get gasaline and shake it in the side mount intercooler and clean it out see if that helps with temps and knock. Or get off your booty and install the fmic but knock maybe from heatsoak from the fmic at that high of boost.
