knock at idle

Try getting a hold of a Logger. I'm not sure exactly how the S-AFC reads knock, but the logger reads it from the ECU. Also with the logger, you will be able to get alot more usable data. I'm willing to bet your engine has excessive valve tap. This can cause a knock reading at idle.

Good advice there from laserspeeddemon. The safc 2 does not read knock correctly at all!
I have seen counts of up to 242 knock counts on the safc 2 when my logger read 0.

I agree if you are having knock at idle it's probably valvetrain related. I just had one of my lifters go bad and it's annoying because i am shoing about 6-8 counts of knock because of it. I jus ordered a set of revised lifters.

ok, did a smoke test. found leak @ intercooler hose connection, tb shaft and a vacuum port w/o a plug. Fixed the upperintercooler pipe leak and the vacuum port, gotta order the tb shaft seals. Nock is gone @ idle and think its not running as lean anymore. I did get a good amount of smoke out of the dipstick tube my rear valve cover port is connected to the intake but my passenger side is being vented(tiny cone filter).
