Ok so after destroying multiple manual transmissions I swap in my auto. I did the kiggly mod and I'm using one of my b&m shifters. It works but doesn't hit second gear. I started in park got reverse neutral drive and first. Has anyone else had this problem or is there something in my wiring I did wrong?

I used my manual wiring harness so do I still have to use the wires on the trans to the starter and that stuff or no?

Is the B&M shifter cable connected to the shifter on the trans in the right area? That way the notches on the B&M shifter meet up correctly with the notches on the trans shifter. It took me a couple tries to get that right.

I am using a manual wiring harness with the Kiggly mod with no issues. Yes you need to connect to the starter wiring as that's the safety lockout so you can't start the car in gear.

Yes with the shifter in the park position one back is reverse then neutral then drive then nothing and then first. Then going back up I don't feel a shift until in the drive position. The tranny worked just fine 6 years ago when removed from a 1ga car. Maybe I screwed up somewhere in the wiring. Kiggly should have color coated what wires to use since the picture kind of sucks.

Sounds like something's up with the wiring. I would double check the wiring and direction of the diodes.

Its ok I have all gears now. But there is something really odd going on. The first gear position is 2nd gear. And 2nd gear position is 1st gear. But atleast all gears work just not in the correct order. Just have to figure out what 2 wires I have switched around. Hopefully.

Thanks for telling me to check the diode out I did have one turned around.

Sounds like you're on the right track! Good luck!

I know 2 of the wires are very similar in color and stripe....maybe start there.

Website updated with some text describing which color is which gear.

Thanks,
Kevin

Thank you very much for that it really helped me figure out where i went wrong with it. It now works flawlessly and is actually more fun then the manual. Worse part about it is when i go to start the car i still try to push my clutch pedal down.
