I’ve been trying to make this work for days now and I cant throw my car into programming mode i for sure have keyless entry I jump pins 1 and 4 can someone confirm that I’m using the right pins? PIN number 1 is the farthest right and closest to your knee
Then I sit in the seat and shut the door then turn the key to acc for 3-5 seconds then turn it back to lock then the locks are supposed to unlock and lock but I can’t make it do that is there something wrong in my car wiring or something because I’ve done every step exactly in order

Is me having the door open when I jump the pins a problem because I can’t jump them and have the door closed at the same time

Yes the doors must be closed. Here's the instructions from the FSM.

Here I copy'n paste what the FSM instruction (I attached) says "(3) Close all doors."

Just did mine yesterday. Open door, insert key but don't turn it. Paper clip in pin 1 and 4, you have 10 seconds to get in and close the door. Turn key to acc and immediately back off. Doors should lock and unlock. Then press lock button on remote and done.

Ya I’m doing exactly that and it wont work. Am I not using the right pins? Or am I putting it in the wrong part of the pin? I’m honestly so confused

Do you have to turn to acc then back to off super fast cuz I turn it then wait a second then turn it back?

Just to acc and back. Not fast. Make sure paper clip is not coated. The row closest to the driver starting at the first pin near the console. Stick it in the small holes
Is this correct?

Yes. Make sure its pushed up far enough into the plug

Pull the rear plastic piece that has the speaker cover on the drivers side. The keyless entry relay is there if you have it. It's possible you are in program mode but something else may be wrong preventing it from locking/unlocking.

Curious but when you lock your car does a green "security" light up in the instrument cluster for about 20 seconds?

Not sure if your question is for the original poster specifically but on mine the SECURITY green light always lights up after locking the doors either thru the key or keyfob. That's the factory anti-theft security system being primed.

i know my car has keyless entry because I have the box in the quarter panel but the security light doesn’t come on when I lock the car at least from the inside, my lock keeps pushing through on the driver side so that’s why I want fobs for my car so I don’t need to use the key hole

If you're not getting the green "security" light on the dash when you lock your car you have malfunction of the security system & the keyless entry won't work. You need to fix your security system.

I took out the hood latch and my car has hood pins could this be a problem because the car thinks the hood is open so the security won’t activate?
