Key Is Stuck!!!

My key is stuck in the ignition it's on ACC. I can't retrieve the key even though it's in Park. I tried putting the car in Neutral the to Park but it seems it don't help. I never had this problem and it sucks where I have to leave the keys in the car all the time. Please someone help the steering wheel aint locking so I know that it aint that. PLEASE HELP!

does your car have a button near the ignition for removing the key like the 1g does?

+1 I was just gonna say that..Some 1g's have that switch, Mine does not..

And did you try wiggling the steering wheel to see if it would allow you to turn it the rest of the way?

Spent an hour trying to wiggle the key and no my dsm dont have the button!

Have you tried moving the shifter without pressing the button on the shifter, because a friend of mine was having the same problem and it turned out that the button was stuck, not the button on the shifter but the piece that it pushes down. Id try that and if it moves more than likely you got the same problem.

sounds familiar to the honda i had. i had to push the shifter as far up as i could and keep it there and take the key out at the same time. try that
