doesnt that mean it is a lock-type lsd? AFAIK lock-type is more dragstrip oriented, as opposed to clutch-type or helical lsds, which are more racetrack/street appropriate.

someone pls prove me wrong or right.

Yup, these seem to be comparable to the Quaife.

DSMvroom:

I am not going to prove you right or wrong, it is just a matter of preference. I have both clutch and helical gear type posi units (different cars). I don't like the fact that the gear version only locks both wheels to a point. If one wheel really breaks loose, you are back to a "peg leg". The shudder of the clutch type can be annoying (or disconcerting as some passengers have said) but if I am going to shell out nearly a grand for a posi, that fvcker better hold.

my lsd's are proven by lots of members of the www.3si.org on 3000gt and stealth vr4 and non turbo vehicles we are the same people as www.kormextrans.com if you run a search on kormex trans i'm sure you'll see alot of feedback about our diff and just so everyone knows our diff is for everyday driving no locks up on turns

I purchased the kormex unit. The unit was very well made and a snap to install. No speedo gear or shimming needed. To be honest I just got the car back together yesterday and have only driven it a few miles. I installed a SBR 3500 clutch at the same time so it will be a week or so before I can really give it a good test. I will let you all know how I likeit.

I bought my LSD from KarKing, and although my tranny has not been reinstalled I am confident that it will perform. THe price is right, and there is no reason why a Quaife is going to cost you $500 more. I will let everyone know how it works when I install it.

is this kormex LSD a billet piece? or cast?

Is it as strong as the quaife? I want it for my fwd but want to make sure I can launch it onl slicks without worry of it grenading.

I know the quaife is indestructable, so I was wondering about this kormex unit?

Also, what kind of torque bias is it? 60% 65% 70%?

Thanks
