Shit! He loved it and it worked awsome. He got the SlowBoy racing one. It's a must have!! For the price it can't be beat. The car has gone through 2 people and still no problems with it. :thumb:

great, b/c i was talking to slowboy and they didn't know if it would work on a 2g auto. its just like one size fits thing??? i'm gonna get it

I wouldn't be so quick to buy into any thing yet, give transdude a call just to verify what lee is saying

I'm not discrediting lee in anyway but giving transdude a call is a good idea. At the very worst you'll learn somethin :thumb:

hey i went and checked out the speedfreak las, and it says they only sell it for the AWD. i see you have a GS-T, did they used to have one for our cars, or does it not even matter and that'll fit??

Honestly I don't think those inserts do a whole lot for traction. I still never had traction after I put mine in, but I also didn't have super wide sticky tires either.

You have to get the one for the FWD 3000GT. It has the same front differential as our cars.

And I've noticed a definite improvement in traction. It'll spin just for a split second, then catch and hook up nicely. I'm not making super major HP, though.

I just ordered the SBR LSD... we'll see what it does... I figured why not since I have the transmission dropped for a clutch/flywheel install....

How do you LSD gst guys like your cars in the canyons? Screw off the line I always wondered how much imptovement the insert had on handling, just by reading about it they seem like they might hinder handling by locking the differential under power but, road tests>me theorizing how it would handle :)

well i called and spoke to someone at SBR, and they said that they don't even know if it'll fit the auto's. i was going to get one, but i didn't want to spend the money if it dosen't fit

I went from my typical 2.4 60' to a 2.2 60' changinge nothing else but the trans with a LSD insert.
John from IPT installed everything for me. I used a Phantom Grip insert with the slightly stiffer green spring and John tried shimming it as tight as we could get it...
The easiest way to tell if it works, is to launch hard and look behind for TWO tire marks..

so then if the Phantom fits than the SBR one gotta fit too. did you like how it works??

I only said screw off the line cause I have awd :shhh:

98TalonTSi, have you messed with the cornering on your car yet? Better or worse? By a little or alot? Did it make any difference at all?

damn you guys, now you have me interested. Since ive been reading up on the TCU-GO paddleshifter. Its made me want to keep my car Auto...hmmm swapping a 6 bolt in. To keep the auto or go manual....damn

whats the paddle shifter your talking about??? is it like the thing that IPT sells

I wish I had some great words of wisdom about the 2G automatic cars, but I do not. I would now say anything fits unless we have actually done it here, and we have not.

Originally, we used the Phantom Grip to get the sizing, etc. correct for our LSD's. We changed the springs (heavier spring) and we used a different metal to construct the LSD because we felt some of the failures and cracking of the Phanton Grip were to be blamed on the metal used to construct the unit.

With that being said, I used the LSD for a full year in my 450 WHP daily driven FWD 1991 Eclipse (now the RWD Pro Outlaw car) with great success.... I cannot drive to save my life, and still ran many of 1.7X sixty foots with a set of M&H slicks and a 2600 clutch.... just do not ask my ET :)

I am one of the few people who can run 130 MPH, and still run a 12.0 :) Damn FWD? Nope, damn my driving skills! (That is why Craig and Nate do the drving now!)
