k-sport coilover spring rates

Does anybody know for sure how much you can drop the spring rates on the kontrol pro series before needing a revalve? I was told +- 2kg was the limit. Now k-sprot is telling me I can run any spring on the kontrol pro strut with no revalve. I suspect this is because they screwed up and sent the wrong spring rate coilovers, but would like to verify this.
