95-96 OEM Stock 2G FWD
Front: 246
Rear: 173

tein ss
front: 504
rear: 306

the info came of off prostreetonline`s site. i was pretty much set on tein ss coilovers, but these numbers kinda have me scared. i dont really know much about spring rates, can anyone fill me in on how much stiffer the tein ss coilovers will be? and also, as you increase the height of your car on given coilovers, does the ride quality increase?

Roughly twice as stiff in the front, and 1.8 times stiffer in the rear - assuming your spring rate info is accurate, and assuming that the quality control on whatever springs Tien is using is reasonable.

500/300 is not an unreasonable spring split for a 2G that sees street use.

i have Ground Controls that are 450 front/300 rear. ride's fine and isn't too harsh. I think if I upped the fronts to 500 than that would be optimal, but it handles fine for now

Not on the ss's, no. It will ride the same at all heights assuming you are not hitting the bump stops.

That's not entirely true is it?

I thought that there is an optimum height that the coilover should be set at.
