K- seal?

So im relatively sure ive blown a headgasket. along with a slew of other problems, that is. Unfortunatley, i cant get my car into any shop to get it looked at let alone fixed until the end of august and i really cant afford to take that long off of work, nor can i get a loaner car for that long. Has anyone used K seal? is it worth it until i can get it fixed for real?

I think you already know the answer to this. Any mechanic in a bottle is usually bogus, especially for something so serious. Ntm you may do more damage. Reminds me of years ago when I didn't know better I'd throw anything in my car to try to fix it (I think I used bars hg repair-of course it didn't work) and I had a small crack in the plastic radiator top and dumped that powdered stop leak crap into it. Completely clogged up my cooling system and still chunky after flushing 5 times after the new rad. It stopped the leak for about an hour.
How bad is the leak? Did you do a leak down test? Chocolate milk? White smoke?

I don't even know how something like this can even work. I know what the bottles say, and that it's made of space age materials that bond to the gasket, blah blah. OK but how is it not destroying everything else in the process? Most HG bottle repairs involve draining the oil and coolant I think, but you're just polluting your entire system.
Don't do it. Even if you're positive you have A blown HG, don't. Even if it's a tiny little pinhole leak, don't.

You can get a composite HG for about $20, and even though it's frowned upon you could just change the gasket without replacing your timing components if it's a cost issue.

Bars leak head gasket fix works if you must do a bandaid fix. I've used it a few times with great success. When I do use it I usually disconnect and loop the heater core lines for a few hundred miles then do a drain/flush and hook the heater lines back up. Not necessary but I just like to do it as a precaution.
