K&N FIPK Adapter needed! Can not find one anywhere..

I have a 2g GSX.. A while ago I ordered a K&N Filter off of ebay. Come to find out it does not have an adapter. So, right now all that I have is a flat K&N filter in my gsx and I am wanting to put the Cone/Oval filter in place of my air box.

I've gone to parts stores and looked on Slowboyracing.com, extremepsi.com and other vendors and can not find an adapter anywhere.. I have researched this and nothing HELPFUL has come up.. Can anyone tell me where to get an adapter at?? I think the FIPK adapter would work if I could ever find one...

i just ordered the same thing a few days ago, if you try to remove the stock air box the filter doesnt slip right on?

if your sure you need the adaptor then they have it on dejonpowerhouse.com

i take that back the kit they sell comes with a different cone which wouldnt fit and besides there out of that kit

and im 99% sure if you take out the stock air box, that filter will fit right onto the stock mas. but i will double check tom morning and post pics

i havent gotten my filter yet but i will post the pics hopefully by the end of the week

The one dejontool says are your standard circle filter adapters. It will not work for the FPIK filter, which has its own shape.

The filter you got IS the one that comes in the FPIK kit. It's very proprietary for that filter. Anyone who gets either or puts themselves in a predicament because finding the other separately will prove to be harder.

What you can do is hope you find someone just selling the adapter. Or sell your filter to someone who happens to need a replacement. And buy the FPIK kit out right which includes both. Or call K&N, see if they sell direct to retail customers, if not, ask them for the adapter's part # and order it through an authorized K&N dealer.
