K&N filter

I'm about to get a K&N for my 1g. If i've understood correctly the MAF should just fit inside the filter right? Also does anyone know where i can get a K&N real cheap?

Correct the MAF does sit inside the filter.. I got mine from ebay (along with the CAI). Along with the filter cleaning kit from the autoparts store and it's done me well, I've had it for just over a year. For you it seems to be finding the right price for it, so good luck with that.

I recently got a K&N from Strauss Auto. Cost $43. I believe it's number 2875. However, to get the best performance out of it you either need a ring to clamp the filter into the stock MAF mount (inlieu of the stock air can), or you can use a Dremel to cut the ring off the stock air can and ditch the rest of the can.
