Just recieved EVO 3 engine - install questions

Hi,

Since my last engine was blown (mixture of CW and some other issues), I ordered myself an EVO 3 engine (longblock with turbo and manifolds) and yesterday it arrived. I looks ok, haven't had the time to look inside yet.

As much as I have researched, I have found that it ought to be identical to 2g engine.

But are there any issues? Wiring? or something else?

I would be welcome to any comments by the guys who have made the swap.

Hey Oliver. From what I know, the install is the same as the original engine, except for one motor mount (not completely sure which one). Ask Ron (98evoIIIpwr) for more details - he has successfully done this install.

well, you have 95, so its probs EPROM, right? well if you're using the same ECU, i assume you would, then you have 510s running with a new turbo, the EVO III. which means....you need either dsmlink or SAFC to tune it, as the correct A/F is still going to be off

sorry, should have mentioned that i'm running maf-t with gm-mas also. That should fix the problem..

any other comments please!
