so i get it all together and i start it up and the manifold started to smoke is this normal i have a 2g with a slow boy manifold cast iron and a new evo3 turbo please help quick o and dose aneyone know how to wire a small fal fan

Did you spray stuff on it while doing the install or did you spill anything??? Mine smoked also but i sprayed lubricants on it. Is smoke shooting out between the mani and turbo??

Yes it happened to me. it was basically just burning off the spray. As long as it's not leaking between anything then you are fine.

E-gads man, you could have put that all in ONE post. Spell check is your friend btw....

To answer your question: Yes it's normal for it to smoke a little bit after a turbo install. I'm assuming you used some PB blaster to get all the mani bolts and turbo bolts loosened up first? The smoke you are seeing is just that burning off. If there is exaust coming out between the head/manifold, or the manifold/turbo, you need to fix it. It usually just burns off after about 10-20 minutes of idling.

you could always smell it, if it smells like exhaust then thats what it is, but if it coming from the top of it then its just the chemicals burning off.
