Hi, I just received the ordered EVOIII from FP.
It just looks so small, that i'm not shure if I have received an EVOIII.
How can I check that? is there a serial numer on it?

Thanks

Mike

Do you have a picture of it? Does it say TD05H on the compressor housing? Does it have the dual blades on the compressor (not single like the 14B)? The Evo isn't very big, looks just like a 14B from the outside.

The evo 3 has the same td05h housing, the same as the stock 1g 14b. It packs a big punch in a small package. You look like you have a stock turbo when you dont. If you got it from a well known shop most likely you have the right turbo. I looked at mine but cant see the # on the turbo because of how its mounted. Who did you get it from?

Just saw you got it from FP. You most likely got the right turbo.

The Evo definetely looks small. I have a pic somewhere of my evoIII sitting next to my FP3065. Kind of a joke. The difference is huge. The evo is a small turbo but can make some good power so dont be misled by its size.

The corresponding number on the compressor housing is 49178-01470 for the E316G. Like these guys said, it looks small because it is small in comparison to the giant turbos people are running these days. Dont be fooled though, it rewards the person willing to spend the time to tune it.

the evoIII-16g is not a joke
u will only know the diffrence when u look close
the fins are larger than the standard 16G
the front inlet is also larger
when u turn to the turbine side, see the 070 code, 7cm housing

u may google for 6cm and 7cm housing comparison

u can tune up this sweet thing will 330whp
