alright so ive been doing some research. i have a stock rebuilt bottom end, but a built top end. 272's crower springs retainers, 3g lifters, 3angle valve job. ported and polished. 1mm oversized valves, etc. i need to know which one of the holset turbos you guys think would be most beneficial for my build. head is on its way back from shop, so i need to get a turbo fast. ive been looking at the hx35 and hx40, but cant quite grasp which one would be better for me. all opinions would be greatly appreciated. and i do have a tial 38mm wastegate, and a hks wastegate to test both. oh, and also thinking bout using stock intake manifold;) thanks guys

Depends on the condition of your stock shortblock. Do a compression and leakdown test to see if you have any blow-by or any other problems. If it isn't in the best condition I would recommend neither and get it rebuilt. Otherwise the HX-35 is a great choice. I recommend it to a lot of people for a street/strip turbo.
