So i just got threw sweating my ace off in this 100 degree Tx heat " True tuner" after
installing the Bov Rs into my Gs-t it I took for a test run :sneaky: pulls hard but at 6k the car shakes and the psi drops a bit what do you guy thing spark plugs don't kill me i am using Denso's platinum or could it be a leak?

You are recirculating right? I'd start with the boost leak test. I've also heard of a lot of people having probs with the RS, because of the diaphram failing. Just something to look into.

:| Don't say that!!! I am just about to buy one of those things! Why do you say that? What BOV would you recommend?

yeah i havent heard of the diaphram failing prematurely

do you have any links to past threads about this??

Boost leak test is defently a good idea but it could also be the bov is adjusted to soft. Try tightening it up a turn or two & see if it makes a difference.

okay i'll give it a shot as far as the leak test all i have to do is pour the soapy water on the couplers right ? i never done it before

This may be stating the obvious, but this is after you've pressurized your system using a compressor or air tank with the adapter.

You can use soapy water, or even listen for the faint sound of air escaping.

Yes, i think that is how it goes. But what if you still have your stock boost control solenoid? Do you have to unplug and hoses? I know on an aftermarket boost controller you have to take off some hose and plug it but what about a stock boost controller? Thanks

If they gave you the EKN's, they were going by what the computer told you was stock/recommended for the car. They'll work okay for you. The 6ES is just the single electrode plug.

Boost leak wasn't my problem i thought it was turned out to be my denso platinum spark plugs installed the ngk's now i am hitting 15 psi on WOT the car is pulling hard thanks for the advise guys ps when i pulled out the denso they were cover in yellow powder ?

Did you put teflon tape around your BOV's adjustment screw? You definitely should.

You have a t-25 penut. These turbos loose psi up in those rpms anyways. Look at my dyno graph on my profile and you can see where the boost drops. :coy:

Thanks bro but it's all bueno know the reason for the psi drop and the shaking was those damn denso's platinum plugs installed the ngk's and now i am hitting 15 psi wot it's grrrreat

Yeah right as soon as you said Platinum plugs..... I KNEW that was it.

NEVER use platinum plugs for turbo's or nitrous! EVER!
They burn way too hot, and create all kinds of knock.... that is why your car was shaking.

Basically what happens with Platinum plugs is that the spark is very quick and hot. It basically makes the gas/fuel mixture instantly explode inside the combustion chamber! That is what knock is ...a small explosion in your combustion chamber.

What you want is a slow controlled burn.
That is why the 6ES is a good spark plug for our cars.. or any other turbo/nitrous car for that matter. The 6ES is a cooler burning spark plug that allows the fuel/air mixture inside of the combustion chamber to burn more slowly, and efficient. The slow, even, controlled, burn is what makes power.

If you see proven advice on this forum. You should take it seriously.
A simple thing like using Platinum spark plugs could ruin your motor

...glad you found the problem
