just installed radiator and now its overflowing.. but not overheating

i just replaced the radiator.... its not overheating or realy even sounding like its bubbling its just spewing slowly out of the overflow.... ive searched a lil and found that you need to get all the air out of the system?.... does anybody know how i do this?

To get all the air out what I do, is when I refill the system I leave the radiator cap off and run the engine with the heater on high until fully warmed out and the thermostat opens. It will start gurgling and when it stops and the system is full and not gurgling anymore, than shut it off and replace the cap. Then your all done!!!

ok ill try that..... the radiator cap is like a week old too so.....

+1 on this. It should get most, if not all the air out of your system. However, I did this and still ended up slowly pushing coolant out the overflow, but only at high boost (>18 PSI).

I replaced my radiator cap with a stock pressure cap (13 PSI) and it still would push coolant. Eventually, I replaced the 13 PSI cap with a 19 PSI (1.3 bar) cap that I purchased here in the classifieds and have not pushed a drop of coolant since, even at 25 PSI boost pressure.

On Green Performance has 1.1 bar (16 PSI) caps here in the 'cooling' section for $15.
