Ok well I put a fidanza flywheel in and when I first drove it, it would die almost everytime I reved it. I increased the idle a couple hundred rpm's and it helped some but still when I am driving and put it in neutral it dies. Not everytime but enough to annoy me.
I was wondering if this was a common thing after lightweight flywheel install or not

Thanks

No thats not normal. Did you forget to plug something in after the install? Never had that issue with mine in 6 years

No everything is plugged in, I know I have some boost leaks to attend to so im sure that's not helping it

Boost leak wouldnt cause the car to die like that...vacuum leak yes, but it would be a huge vacuum leak.

No but it will cause surging, and when that split second where fuel is cut off because of surging it would kill it because there is no momentum in the flywheel

That's pretty typical; I've read a few threads about that on the Ecmlink forums.

Thanks man, maybe I will try to increase the idle a little more and see if it helps

Youd have to have MASSIVE boost leak to cause a fuel cut on a rev...i doubt thats your issue.

Im not saying its hitting fuel cut. It is when the car idle surges the ecu sees the RPM's going up so it cuts fuel for a second and it keeps doing the same thing over and over

Its not a boost leak issue. I second checking the isc. Have you ever checked it? Idle issues are a very common issue with dsms. Search.
