Just got tranny done now this....Pic

So yeah I just spent about 2 grand rebuilding my whole tranny and ive been driving around for a few days you know feelin like a million bucks cause my car has been down for so long..Well I was on my way home from school and im just chillin at a red light waiting to turn left and im the last possible car to be able to fit in the lane area..since behind me there is a highway ramp for ppl to merge onto the highway so people were making lefts behind me then i see this big ass semi coming he begins his turn and i notice the turn is a pretty sharp turn and i see his wheels get closer and closer at this point im like $hit im done for and yep it did smack! he spun my car about 180 degrees and all i could say was Fuk about 80 times. He then pulls over and asks if im ok and i was like yeah..keep in mind we are at in the way of everyone tryin to get on the highway since he was on the ramp he was like im gonna get on the highway and get off at the next exit and meet u down the street a bit so we can get outta of ppls way. So i move down cops have been called and im waiting about 20 minutes still no semi coming back...Cop comes gets my info and yeah hes like here is the police report and ur all set..Oh and the truck hasnt came back yet..But before the trucker left i got his plates soo i handed them to the cop..Well he ended up never coming back when i left soo I guess he is gonna be considered a hit and run. Thank you for insurance..I mean it could ve been worst and the truck couldve came closer and he could ve crushed me like it was a monstor truck..thank god it wasnt that bad..But still just to see my baby like that just gives me nightmares..this probably doesnt compare much to some of the accident pics i have seen on here but just thought id share.

I would consider getting a lawyer because if your insurance pays for it. they consider you a liability so jack your rates.

hey steve sorry to here about your car, hopefully your insurance will cover everything, if they make you pay for the deductable i would sue that redneck trucker out of every bit of money he has, which probably aint much but at least get enough for pain and suffering ya know! anyways you are damn lucky you didnt get hurt and you got the license number so like you said already it could have been alot worse, but again good luck with your car that thing is to pretty to not drive

Dude get ready to be paid. My buddy that I worked with in marietta, got nailed from behind by a semi. It totaled his custom ranger, had seom neck ache thats all. The amount was never told, but he paid off his 200,000 dollar house, 3 cars and had enough left over for some sweet toys. Truckers have million dollar insurance policies

That sucks bad man, but the 1 thing I don't understand is: did you follow him on the highway to the next exit? He said he was going to get on and then get off at the next exit and meet you there, he never said come back to where you were. Just curious is all, but maybe he didn't run and was sitting at the next exit. I realize you're not supposed to leave the scene of the accident but impeding the flow of traffic is also against the law nowadays.

i hate to be a buzz kill here but did you get the truck plate or the trailer plate....i spose its possible to track down who was pulling what trailer on a certain day but that would REALLY suck ass if they couldnt

I think devil is saying that semi's have two sets of plates.
one set for the trailer which would be dropped off and another set for the truck.

and if it was an independent driver it might be very difficult to track him down.

ill know what the whole situation is by monday..Thanks for all the help and support..I dont think ill be milkin him for all the money they have because it just doesnt seem worth it. He knows i was ok cause i said im alright when he asked me. It seems like a hit and run but i actually would never know if he ever came back whether if it was like an hour later because it was during rush hour..but ill be gettin the police report monday..So ill know what the cops did about it. I am gettin him to pay for the 500 dollar dedcutible off my insurance though. Ill have to look into his company to see if they will pay for my rates if they go up..Guess we will see what happens monday.

Sorry to hear about that dude! Looks like he scratched up your wheel a little bit... you should have them buy you some nice light weight wheels like Volks or something. Then get your car repainted a different color. It's a 5 year old car, you'll be able to tell a difference with the freshly painted fender and the rest of the car.

its been at the body shop for almost a week now and everything thats damaged is gettin redone. the only thing gettin replaced is the the metal rear fender obviously cause that is no way repairable..Yeah the paint is gonna be new but its gonna be funny cause only half the car will look new. the wheels were never scraped because the trucks tires did rub on em pretty hard but didnt damage them..There is a scrape on the wheel but that was done by me i told them that the truck did it though they are just gonna repaint that wheel. Taht would be pretty phat if i could get volks or something but it doesnt work that way. they ethier fix em or buy the sameones.
