i painted my wheels a while ago, and i didn't like the color, but i never had any time, but this week i found some time, and lifted the car up and got to work,
here's my wheel all cleaned up (aircraft stripper and a pressure washer)
here it is after the first coat
2nd coat
3rd coat
here's the first wheel i did, stayed out til 4 in the morning doing this one, i didnt tape off the wheels like i did with the other ones, so i got overspray on them that i cleaned off later.
they turned out 100 times better this time, i actually spent time prepping, and used a pressure washer this time (why didn't i think of that before? sanding is bi*** work, and with aircraft stripper, a dirty job that is potentially harmful to your self) <-- i got one little bit of it on my arm and at the end of the night it looked like a nasty mosquito bite...

Anyway, It looks hella good. I am in the midst of prepping my stockers for a bronze color.

. That was almost a year ago though. I agree about the aircraft paint stripper, that stuff is awesome and it sucks at the same time.
I still miss my graphite rims sometime, but the bronze is growing on me and I am glad I chose it. Great pictures also, I need to take some more of my
sometime soon and get them posted. Tell John I said... Hey!!
..... haha well i didnt do a good job my 1st and 2nd time, had no idea what prepping was all about, just used a brush and aircraft stripper, and alot of sandpaper, still had spots of old paint sticking up... made me embarrassed to bring my car in anywhere's where they had to take the wheels off, i was waiting for someone to say "hey by the way, who painted your wheels?" i would of say "i did, why?" and they'd laugh and say, "good job buddy
