I like the color, for the most part. The rims have got to go... they've got the Jetsons look to them. I wish there was a more tasteful wing to put on, because with the front (which I like), and the paint, it needs something to balance the rear or it looks funny. The aluminum wing though seems a bit much. Anything lower and sleeker for 1G's?

hey i'm all for doing your own thing, but damn man that car looked 10x better in black and w/o the wing.

and there is only one good looking front bumper for the popup dsm's.

no offense to you man cause the car looks good (IMO lose the wing though)...its funny how the popularity of the F&F lime green has gone up after that one little movie...the new one could be the downfall of us all:rolleyes:

the only saving grace is that the overly exoic paintjobs won't be turning up everywhere on little rice mobiles. although the constant flames coming from the exhaust tips can't be too far away:cry:

also the rice golden rule,
if your paint job is more expenisive than your whole car, youre doing somethign wrong...

but i think ricing cars out is the thing to do in late 90s early 2000s. im sure in retrospect its gonna be like the 70s van/shaggin wagon thing....

either way im glad im not part of it

actually the paint job cost me 275 and i paid 300 for the car so i avoided the rice rule! haha o well. yea i know the wheels but unless any of you have 2g gsx wheels you want to give away they're gonna hve to stay for awhile........... idk about what other kinda wing there is i really like the aluminum ones so thtas what i used. well thanks for your opinions!

I did look at the murceialago (sp) green, but it wasn't my taste. and this is the exterior/interior forum (body kits, audio, ect.) things are supposed to look a little different, if you saw the front in person i think you would think it flows pretty good with the car, they do have curves they aren't an 80's vw jetta or anything, thier no vw bug either but they're somewhere in the middle. o well each to thier own. good luck all

no way it's a good paint job, my uncle paints cars...... he made me pay for materials. he says as long as i keep the car for awhile he doesn't mind doing the work for free. so don't bash somethin unless you know the whole story. you coulda asked why it was so cheap, o well whatever
Ryan

Buddy, I do paint work myself...I doubt you could buy enough spray paint to paint your car for $275 let alone the good stuff. I recently painted my fender and front bumper and the materials for that alone costed about $170. Who knows though...maybe you got some kind of Fast & the Furious sale on the tacky ricer colors at the paint shop.

he got the paint from me, i was always gonna paint my car lime green but lost intrest so he got it cheap ;) as for the paint job quality, perfection!! his uncle did the body work on my Porsche and it was imaculate, we just have the hook up around here, my dads a car dealer/parts store owner, my neighbor does engine tuning, his uncle paints cars, my step dad paints cars, it all works out

You got ripped, buddy

Umm no, buddy. Being I've painted since I was about 18, hopefully I would know what paints go for. Base coats, clear, activators, reducers, and primers add up very quickly. And that's not even including sandpapers, tape, tack-rags, and other miscellaneous materials required for painting. Don't believe me? Go to your local automotive paint shop and check it out for yourself. This isn't your Autozone "Duplicolor" spray cans we're dealing with here.

yea he is right about the price, if you start from the begining its rough, and cost alot, espesialy if you are using a good brand of paint, im guessing Beef Jerky used PPG or Dupont for it to cost that much

well i guess i just got a good deal then. I got a gallon of paint, reducer, primer, thinner for the primer all for about 100. The paint is black, nothing fancy so that might be why its not that much.

what brand?

i used all PPG products, the paint itself was given to me, we shot inside the doors hatch everything. so stop assuming things before you know the whole story like i said you could have asked what brand i used or another similar question in stead of flaming. o well. and thats including painting the wheels with a white pearl. well if anyone has any Opinions or Questions then i'll be glad to hear them. later all
