Ok well I have been out of the DSM world for quite some time now. But once summer time hit and all the cars came out to play I quickly fell back in love. So I started my search for a talon tsi. I came across this beautiful 1g 1992 Eagle Talon TSI AWD located in Illinois. After a weeks for of talking with the owner we came to an agreement and I made the trip on Saturday to go purchase the vehicle. I got this beauty for $1000. This car is simply beautiful. Not one spot of rust all around or underneath. Car had a running sluggish issue but after changing the fuel filter she purred like no other. Its amazing. She pulls super hard for an automatic. She is equipped with a 6/4 combo which is rare :D . Im going to be painting this car Ferrari Yellow and then black on top. Going with some black racing rims but not sure which type yet. Now on with the pictures.

I'm with the other guys, that is far from beautiful.. But for 1k, not bad at all.

And please, no yellow.... :barf:

You can all hate! But when its done ill be the one laughing. And why you guys hating so hard on yellow for? Yellow is a nice color. Like I really wanna be like the other 5 million dsm's and keep it factory color. That style is played out.

Yeah, yellow is for mustangs and camaro's. I cringe every time I see a yellow DSM, which is not all too often. If you want to be different for a 1g..........how bout a real lively Silver? Like a BMW 5 series Silver.........

Yellow is the color girls get their Beetle's in, unless your a valley girl I'd vote against it.

LOL.

I actually like that color man. With a good wash and wax it'd probably shine up pretty nice.

Either that or factory teal ftw!

I have a black cherry 1g, I paid $2,600 and I have people offering me $5k for it.. Black Cherry is a super rare color period, I looked 8 months for specifically a black cherry.

i have 3 black cherry dsms?

2 1gs
1 2g

i guess all the black cherrys are here LOL i see them everywhere

the rare color here is the turquoise

i wish i could sell my 1gs

That teal is super nice - I'd rock it!

It'd be fun to tell people they got smoked by a "purple" car while flicking your wrist.

That timing belt looks AWFULLY stretched!

Yeah just paint it the color YOU want it to be. Everybody was not convinced about my orange but i like it and thats the only thing that you should consider. I'm not a great fan of stock factory dsm paint color too.

Ya it is what it is.. Im going with yellow more than likely. What intercooler system should i go with?

Nice find but like I should have told my uncle... Keep it stock!

(This is his car BTW. It was dark green before...)

Nice find though none the less.. And it is your car so your decision in the end..

Ya idk yet. Might go with the black cherry still debating. Trying to figure out what intercooler system to use thats in a reasonably price.

Why not keep it a stock color. I have always loved the black cherry or the gray color they come in. I bought my 1g for 250 bucks and it needed an ecu and the body is in better shape. Just paint faded on the roof. Good find though. When ever you spend less than 1500 on any running car it is a pretty good deal.

your a bastard haha i just bought my first boosted dsm 400 for a 90 tsi awd with a bad ecu. but you got a better deal then me! :ohdamn:

and anteversion i like your car. that orange is just different id rock that color :thumb:

I'd say stick with the maroon color. A color change paintjob is a TON of work if you do it right. also that maroon color is a slightly different color than the Blackcherrry pearl(color code R16) color found on 1ga talons

+1 on the punishment racing front mount intetrcooler. Its more than worth the price.. Or you could run a Supra side-mount intercooler

Ya im goign with the punishment front mount with blow through and a hks ssqv v3. How much can the stock bottom end hold with hp?
