hey guys,im new to the dsm scene, just got a 95 gst for 2000$ its got under 80,000 miles on it,it has a couple mods ,greddy type s,greddy front srut tower, short shifter, and eibach springs new in box in trunk, heres the kicker it was my friends lil bros and his dad works at a school teaching mechanics, he took the car in there for a lesson to change the timing belt, they took it apart but never put it back together,so im picking the car up next weekend and gonna order up all the parts to put it back together and do it in my garage, im new to the dsm scene but not new to the turbo scene i owned a 93 mr2 turbo lightly modded that , and owned a 03 mazda speed protege which was heavily modded, so i kno my way around a turbo car id like to think, i just have a couple questions, 1.what all do i need to change my 95 front end to a 97-99 front end,i found the bumper headlights and foglightsbut can not find the fog light housing,is that all im gonna need? 2. is it ok to vent the bov to atmosphere? my mister 2 was vta but my mazda recirculated ### it would stall if it wasnt, 3. im leaning twoards the greddy tic exhaust 3 inch, which 3 inch down pipe works best with that exhaust? thx guys lookin forward to being part of your community:hellyeah:

Hey, welcome to the community and nice find. I think you will find just about everything you need to know about DSMs from this site. For the front end conversion everything bolts on the same. You just need the 97-99 front bumper, and headlights, and foglights if you want them (most fmic kits won't allow you to keep them). Simply take off the 95 stuff and put the 97-99 stuff back on. The plugs for the headlights will be different though and you will want to rewire them. The blow off valve for these cars are recirculated from factory. Your not gonna want to vent to the atmosphere without a GM MAF and a MAF translator. IMO don't waste your money on the greddy exhaust just get a 3" stainless steel catback from ebay. You could even get a good downpipe too for for far less than just the cost of the greddy catback.

Nice find. I have a 95 gst as well. I have the greddy ti-c and love it. I haven't had the ebay one so I can't speak on behalf of it. The greddy sounds and looks amazing. It has the burn tip and it is cocked to the side a little. The midpipe that meets the cat does downsize to 2.5 but from what I have heard, most of the exhausts do. However, it comes with the 3" flange. Just cut off the inch of pipe that downsizes and you are good to go with a 3" downpipe. I actually haven't even changed flanges and it seals up nicely with my punishment racing downpipe. It is a very nice piece. Eliminates the cat and is only like $125 i think? Spools the turbo so much faster. Look into punishment racing. They are an awesome company. I have their intercooler kit as well and it allows you to keep the foglights.

ok cool so what ## saying is that the greddy exhaust steps down from 3inch to 2.5 to match the factory midpipe? i want a full bolt on 3inch exhaust i was invisioning the 3 inch greddy exhaust mated with like a 3inch mid pipe, am i going the right route?
