Just Got a 97'GST! =]

hey ppl,jus got my 97' GST! hah,after numerous months of searching.=) car is completely stock and i was planning to change the air intake. u guys have any pics tat i can see so that i have a rough idea of what i plan to do? or any advice on changing air intakes?any precautions? thanks for helping a newbie here. peace out

Intakes are pretty easy and a good first mod. From experience, I can tell you there's no need to go high dollar with something like an Injen when a DejonTool or ExtremePSI will get you the same results for much less money. Just watch how the parts come off, follow your instructions and you'll be fine.

Hey, welcome to the boards If would be a good idea, if you haven't already, to do the necessary maintenance, and install a boost gauge.

Also, with an air intake, just a simple cone filter will suit your needs for now unless, you are going for looks. Ebay has cheap cone filters, just make sure you get the right adapter to the mass airflow. Good luck.

hey,yea,i've done all the necessary maintenance.the adapter to the mass airflow..izzit the one right before the cone?i notice some intakes comes with different parts so i was afraid i would buy the wrong one. Please explain more. or mebbe post up some pics.thanks a lot
