Hello, I'm Matt. Im a highschool student whos big into all kinds of cars. I used to post on NASIOC and I-club(Subaru enthisiast websites) until I got my Eclipse, then the offtopic there hated on my car. I'm local to the Bay Area and I just got my Eclipse with 37,000mi a few days ago. It's a 97 White Eclipse GST. It has already been modded by its previous owner;
coilovers
ground control kit
2.5" turboback exhaust
K&N filter
Front Strut Bar
MBC
non-preformance:
huge combat wing
white stickers on the interior (Those are going off SO fast)

If anyone has any links to suggested reading that would be great. I want to learn about my car as well as appreciate it. I knew nothing abouts DSMs until 3 days ago when my mother brought one home.

I'm also wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what mods I should get next. I want to get an RS or mabye GS sticker for it, as well as a new spoiler. I hate my (in my opinion) big ricey spoiler. I don't think the car looks good without a spoiler but I also want to pass it for a GS or an RS.

I'm not big into illeagal street racing, when I was 10 I was almost killed in my brothers 1966 GTO. I just like the idea of having a sleeper and/or having a quick car.

Welcome bro! Sleeper is one thing, but don't put a RS or GS sticker on it. Just leave it with no sticker. Your right, that spoiler's gotta go. Get the factory turbo style wing. You see a lot of NT's with that now, so the average person may not know that it's turbo.

Your number one priority should be to get rid of the T25 as soon as possible. Even a small 16G is going to flow almost twice as much CFM at 15psi than the T25 can. Get some hard pipes and a 1G BOV. If you can adjust the height at all, go for as much lowering in the front and the least in the rear. FWD needs as much traction and weight on the front wheels as possible. Also have an alignment done, or your tires will be gone in no time. Being in high school ( and possibly having a tight budget ) you have a great plateform to work with. man...ur mom is awesome. u musta freaked out when she brought home a gst. sweeet. most people would rip off their left pinky for sucha nice car.i know i would...ima high school student too but i had to save up for a year for my N/T. yea dude, i would get the regular turbo wing and leave it with no sticker...thats what most people do. Then just get some nice rims and ur set.good luck!

hey welcome, i would say kick back on the mods and learn how to drive a turbo car..now that we have a little rain u can see how the cars handles and such..i would not say ur first mod should be a turbo...i would say just kick back and learn how to control what u have..peace
