Ok so here it goes. This is my second DSM my first was a stock 92 Laser FWD that i had no intentions to modify becuase it was a daily driver. now this one is another story.

I bought the car locally here from a guy who took ok car of the car.

When i bought the car it had a "cracked head" which was really a bad head gasket.


over the last month i stripped the car down and rebuilt it. here are the mods and pics tell me what you guys think.

DNP TURBO MANIFOLD
R&D CATBACK WITH MY OWN MODIFIED APEXI DOWNPIPE TO MAKE IT MATCH UP.


WHAT KIND OF NUMBERS DO YOU THINK THIS CAR WILL MAKE????

I Started it up on thanksgiving for the first time and she sounds awesome.. just have a few more things to do and she hits the road. i did drive it around parking lot and gave it a little gas she definately will pull pretty hard.

BTW no power steering is rough on this car. all my cars have no power steering and this seems the toughest

looks like it was a fun build. any particular reason you didn't build the head? cams would've helped out on the top end alot

Very true. I want to go with either 225 or 245 on my old rx7 rims, but im still doing my research on what size is better

I got a rack out of a 91 eclipse gsx if decide you want to put one in.But you should recirculate that bov to

I forgot, HKS 262. and i did a mild port.

i am working on recirculating now. i used the Legris air fittings to as you can see on the hard pipe near throttle body.( maybe) just no air hose on there yet.

i wanna ask "one bad 7"....you know how the rx7 had 4pot front brake calipers do you think they would if on a talon... because i have a set form my old rx7 and i think it would be a nice brake upgrade???

i have a set of calipers of my third gen i will try. you might need to make a bracket thoug. if i were to go through all that work i would jsut make brackets for the evo brakes.


the parts for kink is on order already. thanks for looking out.

i ran the car on and off for around 1 hour 30min. jsut to check for leaks. i then drove it around the parking lot. i only went to around 3500. but it was pulling hard. i didnt catch the boost.

i wanna brake it in a little more before i beat on it too much

Nice car/ setup. I think you should paint that shaved valve cover somthing other than gold unless you like it like that. The back bumper needs attention aswell. Good luck.

It would be good to get one, you know, so something doesnt fly into your timing belt and ruin that rebuild. MAP and extremepsi have the zaklee cover that is clear, and looks badass. Also I'm surprised you didnt go with slightly larger injectors and dsmlink, much more powerful tuning than SAFC. as far as cams go did you get hks 264's or 272's? I don't remember a 262 model

today my little brother was helping me and was tightening down turbo drain bolt nad snapped one. so the turbo came out and DAMN IT. but its ok should be back together and going tomorrow.

so you have an aem ems you aren't running yet? I think this will be a great setup- your mods look carefully chosen and they're all there, how much boost do you plan to run?
