I know..... i still dont Have dsmlink... and I know, the problems with MAFT and big fuel.

this is the thing.

I have Denso 760cc, controlled only with MAFT.
I have the boost set to 14 psi til i get the link, but this is the issue.

Idle tuning, I can sit in the car, (maft in glovebox) and start clicking the idle, I can go 7 clicks lean, and it starts to purr like a kitten and pull perfect vacuum. 5-10 seconds later... idle gets choppy again, so i can go 7 or so more clicks the opposite direction, and idle iwll then smooth out, and vac will improve, its a never ending cycle.

i think its the issue with maft only and big fuel.
am i right?

I am thinking when i fineally get link, itll be fine.

thanks,
adam

It sounds like you are going to far in either direction, and going out of the range of the O2 feedback. Try only one click at a time, and wait for a few minutes, and see what that does.

Actually it sounds like the closed loop feedback is working (but you still might be making tweeking it out of range). The sensor might be bad or you have some exhaust leak pre sensor but it sounds like you are tweeking the air flow input, the ECU changes the fuel thereby changing the AFR but the O2 feedback causes the trim to bring the AFR back to where it was before.

its a brand new 02 sensor,

i just thought it was acting wierd because i cant get a perfect idle, or get it to pull 18inch.

except just for a second then it jumps.
