I hate to ask but I HAVE to ask before I drop my 680's in. real n00b question but can anyone verify the actual process I will be going through to tune these things? throttle points are 30/80
1. set short term and long term trims to 0 at 1k, 2k, and 3k
2. bring 3k settings across the board to 7.5k
3. set HI throttle corrections.
4. do a 3rd gear pull
5. adjust where needed
I've read and re-read almost every SAFC tuning thread here but I can't pick apart the important and RIGHT info... and I also don't have a wideband, i'll only be looking at logs.
I'm just wondering if this is the right steps because I dont want to put the injectors in and a: run too rich and kill timing or b: run too lean, kill timing, and blow my motor.. any suggestions are appreciated.
oh yea, just to add: my MBC was set to 16 psi and is now set to 14 psi but creeps to 18 psi. safe to say I can't set a base boost pressure at say 15 psi and tune and raise boost from there.. I'll have to be tuning 18 psi from the get go. anyone have a safe setting to provide enough fuel for 18 psi and virtually no idea how the logs look?
