Just wanted to say I installed my MHI BIG 16g turbo this morning.
The turbine housing inlet has been ported, the turbine housing outlet has been ported and the 02 sensor outlet has been ported.
A big help, thanks to the VFAQ and this thread from team-2g
Took me about 5 hours total.
Any tips to get more power out of this guy?
I got my MBC set around 13psi for now,
I have no fuel mods:coy:
I know my next upgrade should be a Wideband and walbro 255 with a FPR and some type of injectors:hmm:

That's bad@ss man! I looked at that team-2g forum too. They have a lot of good tech articles but the admin guy supposedly disappeared and the mods for that site made another forum called dsm-addiction. But IMO nothing beats tuners. A 16G is definitely a mod that I've been planning on doing in the near future but want to do basic maintenance and get a wideband before any performance mods. I have the same color 2G too.

Okay I have a question, currently I have a 6cm turbo to manifold gasket on there. Is that going to cause a problem on a BIG 16g that has been ported and is on a FP race manifold?
I ask is cause my Greddy BOV sounds alot diffrent then it did. it used to be a sharp high pitch sound now it is loose long sound. kinda hard to describe. I might get a video up later of the sound.
also the car feels about the same as it did with the t-25...

damn... theres a 16g evo 3 club? ive been missing out for over a year!!! where do i sign up??? LOL

davidalindsey, at that low of a boost you not going to feel much of a difference. now once you crank up the boost, then thats when you'll notice the difference. im currently selling my set of PTE 580cc for $200 if your interested. I got bigger ones cause im getting a bigger turbo soon. I had them on my car for a couple years with the 16g, n there great. :) youll also gonna need a logger to make sure your not getting any knock. a 190 pump is a good upgrade with the afpr. i dont have a wb but it wouldnt hurt if i had one.

your also going to have to watch out for fuel cut if you dont get a bigger pump.

You're not in the turbo's efficiency range is probably why you don't feel a huge difference. Wait until you get some fuel mods and crank it up to about 21-22psi, and tell me you don't feel a difference ;)

MAKE SURE you buy an AFPR and rewire your fuel pump. I've seen Walbro's go for under 100 bucks, and an AFPR can just vary on what brand you buy. Evo injectors will be enough to handle a 16g. As for engine management, an SAFC is ideal, but DSMlink V3 lite would be a great way to go also.

So I was thinking of getting the FUELAB FPR FUEL RETURN KIT from STM
A Walbro 255 plus install kit With a STM FUEL PUMP REWIRE KIT
I am undecided on injectors and engine management.
I do have ECU flash and have currently flashed my ECU with CeddyMods and have EVOScan to log somewhat. I just really dont know how to use these two programs to its full extent.
I am hoping to get atleast 300WHP, but my goal is 350WHP any more than that is iceing on the cake.
