So the auto transmission gave out due to the transfer case rear seal leaking.
This was actually a pretty easy fix. I found a site that sells *low mileage* used JDM parts and picked up a AWD transmission and transfer case for $400 shipped. A steal to be sure!
Once it arrived a buddy and I checked it out and it seemed in top shape. I cleaned it up and rebuilt the valve body, installed a shift kit and replaced the input/output shaft seals and put in a new filter/gasket. Took one Saturday afternoon and done.
Shouldnt have any trouble out of this, atleast for a while. Im already lining up a replacement for it since I know stock transmissions just dont stand up for long to to my horsepower goals. I think Ill easily get the $500 out of it though.
I just need some suggestions for fluid. I hear B&M trickshift is good for the automatics. Looking for some opions on it though.
