Durham,
ok, i have the jdm engine with the air- oil cooler, my old motor had the water cooler, i was wondering if i blocked off the hose that was going to the water oil cooler, would that affect my cooling at all?

i used the old thermostat housing on the new jdm engine, since the jdm housing did not have the cap on it

thanks

I'm not following your question too well, but if you've switched from the oil/water cooler to the oil/air cooler, then you don't need the oil/water cooler at all- can't it come off and be replaced with an oil cooler nipple? Anyway, other than the still-present hazard of oil/water cooler damage and concommital leakage, there's not much reason to keep running water through that cooler, although it does slightly better-stabilize the engine running temperature than the oil/air cooler does.

im trying to say basically would be that if i blocked off the hose to my former water coolant line, on the thermostat housing, would that afftect the cooling process

sorry for the unclear explanation, hope this will help
