2G JDM/EDM Tail Differences

I have a EU Eclipse with the Amber turnsignals and the fog lights.
The wiring is different to the US model. There are 3 bulbs/ lightunit, the turnsignal on the outside of the unit (Amber), the stoplight and the light that you use at night (don't know the name)(1 bulb, 2 filaments) in the center. The fog light on the outside (The bulb the most to the center of the car), the 2 lightunits are the same both 3 bulb's :

AMBER TURNSIGNAL - STOPLIGHT - FOGLIGHT - CENTERPLATE (ECLIPSE) - FOGLIGHT - STOPLIGHT - AMBER TURNSIGNAL

Amber turnsignal (=> Warninglight Relay)
just 1 stoplight at each side
Also 1 light each side for driving at night
and 1 fog light each side

The wiring of the US eclipse has the turnsignal and stoplights over the warningsignal relay, in the EU version the amber turnsignals go over the warningsignal relay (4 turnsignals blink at the same time) the EU version also has a turnsignal in the front fender (not in the bumper!)
The light unit, located on the left of the clutchpedal, is different to the one in the US version. For these EU lights to work, there is a lot of rewiring to do.

Fog light is a 50W bulb (same as a stoplight), this light is obligatory in Europe when the sight is limited to 100 meters or less (in Belgium, Germany ... )

Holy dead thread batman. Besides some local DSMTuners guys that have hookups, I know Project2G always seems to get his hands on some nice DSM Stuff. You can check the European DSM Forums like DSMWorld.net. However everyone speaks german there. But there is a US area... but it hardly gets any visitation so you might wait a while... Also you can try ebay. BUT, go into your country settings on ebay and change it to some sort of european country such as Germany, and search then. Use a translator like babelfish to learn what words mean and you can eventually find stuff.

There is alot of Euro/JDM made parts for DSM's I'd like to pickup Like the side mirrors for a 1g...mmmmm Anyway goodluck.

Yeah these taillights are getting harder and harder to find. The only way I get my hands on the "JDM" taillights are when I am in Japan. Luckily I stock up, and have 2 sets sitting in my room so far! They are even getting harder to find in Japan, well one reason being they didn't import that many to Japan.

Hell hook me up with a set, I would rather have a set of EDM Tails, and I don't have a 2g anymore except a parts car but . I always wanted a set of EDM tails when I had my 98 GST. But could never find them at the time.

But when your in Japan, see if you can find a 1g, pull mirrors. I'll pay you!

Haha thats funny because you were gonna buy the JDM 2g set I had a while back. The first picture in this thread is my pic.

If your talking about the taillights I usually have a bunch of the "jdm" taillights that are amber but don't have the fog lights in them. You can pm me for more info.

+1 on wanting to see that brochure, I've been after a set of EDM/JDM tail lights ever since I first saw this thread.

Also, thanks to who started this thread. I've learned a lot about these light because of you.

So does anyone on this thread have schematics or pictures of how to convert the USDM tail light harness into th EDM setup for blinking patterns? Would greatly help me in modding my harness for my LED tail setup. Thanks.
