ok here's my problem. i was trying to connect my j pipe to my 16g the other day, there are two bolt and i accidently overpush one of the bolt and messed up the thread on my 16g but the other bolt is tight and good. now i'm having this big leak there and when i'm driving, i can hear it flapping when wot. i don't know what to do with that mess up thread on the turbo now. anyone have any good idea?
 
I did the same thing, but with a 14b. I drove to the local hardware store and picked up another bolt, but got one about 1/4"-1/2" longer. The 14b was threaded further than the bolt went, and it held fine with zero leaks.

Give that a try, if not, you'll have to have it re-tapped in a slightly larger diameter.

your talking about the same thread size on the bolt but longer right..? yeah i'll have to try that out too then thanks alot....
 
Yep, same thread pattern but a little bit longer. I just grabbed 2 stainless steel ones to match, they were only about $.50 a piece.

Edit: Yeah you just beat me to that, but if you're on a budget and going to get rid of the 14b anytime soon I'd just grab a new bolt. If you plan on keeping the 14b and don't want to worry about it, get it re-threaded.
 
Autozone has a tap and die kit for like $20. Best $20 I spent in a while... as long as you don't break them, then you're on a whole new lever, ### those things are NOT easy to get out. So just be careful, go slow, keep it straight, and use some wd-40 or oil to lube it up. It should be pretty easy though, that part of the turbo is aluminum if I'm not mistaken.
 
Be careful with the bolt length. At least on my E3 16G, the hole closest to the engine is though but the bolt hole on the radiator side has a solid bottom. If the bolt is too long it will tighten to the bottom of the hole but the J-pipe will still be loose.
