Since I've owned this 2g I've had issues with gas, when it's on E I fill up with about 7-8 gallons, from my prev 2gs I filled up with almost 10-12 gallons if I remember correctly, also when I do fill up I last about 250 miles driving normal.

I looked up multiple post but not similar to my issue, I can't seem to figure out what the problem is and it's bugging me.

Could b an issue with the float arm or the sending unit itself[DOUBLEPOST=1414363846][/DOUBLEPOST]The previous owner may have replaced the pump and bent/damaged the float arm causing it to read incorrect, after a fill up does it seem to stay on full for more miles than with ur others?

are you saying the gas pump will click off when you reach eight gallons or you sender is reading full with only eight gallons

As soon as it hits 8 gallons it won't take more gas in unless I keep pumping it but I'll pump more and it'll stop after a second like its full. I commute far for work and I'm filling up every other day

It just sounds like your gauge is reading a little off. My first dsms fuel level gauge didnt work at all so I went by the miles. Worked pretty well once I learned what mileage I could go before getting empty. I know you can disconnect the lever sensor and install like a paper clip and if the gauge reads up to full I believe that means its working fine if my memory is right. If not then the wiring or gauge itself could be bad.

well that wouldn't have anything to do with the sender or gauge. ive seen gas tanks get air locked but it was on older cars. i guess this could happen to our cars too but something would have to be causing it.

you just said when you hit 8 gallons it will click you off the gas pump doesn't know what your gauge is saying LOL.
what is itt he pump wont let you put anymore gas in the tank or your just saying it reads full so dnt put more in it

yea i just had this problem on my car but then it stopped working all together gauge was bad. solet me be helpful now get a meter that can read omhs on the sender it should read around 3 (+/-5) ohms when full and around 110 (+/-5) when empty then for the gauge itself, there are three terminal posts on the back of the gauge cluster; they are arranged in an inverted triangular pattern. Looking at the back of the gauge cluster, between the upper right post and the lower post, there should measure approximately 230 ohms. Between the two top terminal posts, there should be approximately 102 ohms. Between the upper left post and the lower post, there should also be 102 ohms.
