I have set my Galant VR4 up with ECMlink boost control utilizing the 1G stock boost control solenoid (stock restrictor removed), with an inline .025 restrictor right after the turbo:

I started with the stock BCS, then, I removed the stock restrictor pill:

Here is the .025 restrictor I picked up. The hose barbs on each end made it easy to install inline:

Here is basically everything I used, plus a little bit of vacuum line:

I have it hooked up on the car EXACTLY as the diagram below shows:

In the ECMlink application on the Boost (WGS) tab, I checked the Enable boost control checkbox, then checked the Disable error correction checkbox. I filled every cell in the base duty cycle table starting with 50, and worked all the way up to 100. There was absolutely no change in my boost level, which stayed around 10-13 PSI.

I double checked the solenoid was working. When I activate the BCS manually via ECMlink, I hear it click audibly. I also made sure it passed air when on, and blocked flow when off. It seems to be working fine.

Next, I double checked everything was hooked up correctly, and is just like the diagram I posted. Everything seems fine there as well.

I can't figure out WTF I'm doing wrong. I have included 2 logs of 1-2 gear pulls. The first is with all the Base Duty Cycle cells at 70. The second is with all the Base Duty Cycle cells at 90. No change in boost at either value. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here? Am I missing a checkbox or something? From everything I can tell from the log, ECMlink just doesn't look like it is doing anything with the solenoid. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try turning the duty cycle to 0 and see what happens. Dicsconnect vac line from wastegate and see if the turbo will create more than boost u getting now. If it makes more boost, ## solenoid is bad or not hooked up right

ok I see now...........u have no MAP sensor. U need one for this to work.
 
Can you elaborate on why I would need a MAP sensor. I was under the impression that the whole point of using the Base Duty Cycle table alone, and disabling error correction, was because the ECU doesn't use feedback in this configuration. Not to mention, ECMlink's how-to never mentions a MAP sensor is required, which is strange.
 
I cannot elaberate, but I can tell you what did and did not work for me. I posted in the ECM link forum too..:hellyeah:

I enabled mine today. I still have the stock "boost pill" where the vacuum/boost line goes from turbo to plastic tee, so I did not have to buy a new one. Not many know 2Gs came with one.

I tested without my omni 3 bar defined in the ecu inputs tab under pin assignments, and no go....boosted to the normal 8-10 psi. Please note I had my omni 3 bar assigned in the ecu inputs tab in pin assignments for data logging, but NOT in pin assignments for ECM link functions. In this setup no boost control.

Now when I added my omni 3 bar to the pin assignments for ECM link functions....BOOM it worked. I set base duty cycle table to 12.5 and boost peaked at 15 psi and settled down to 11 psi.

One thing I noticed is that in "boost WGS" tab the "edit MAP input pin& type" in the options section was red until I assigned the omni 3 bar. Then it turned blue, once I assigned it.

So, based on this I think a MAP sensor is needed or at least you need to assign one.
