ISC Test

I am conducting the test like it says to in the Haynes manual. I have it hooked to a 6v battery(it has 6v per my volt meter). The question I have is how much movement am I looking for? The other is vibration. Is it supposed to be constent? I don't see it move but, I get an iota of a tick. Thanks
