I just recently put a replacement ISC in my car, as it was stumbling, would die at stop signs, idled horribly. i tested it before i put it in and it was 34.5 across the board for each set of pins.
just took it off and tested it. 39.5-40.0 on each set of pins. and the car has begun doing the same stuff. any ideas?
i checked my plugs and they are all white, so im thinking i neec to swap to the others, i currently am running NGK BP7ES, with NGK 8.5 mm plug wires.

Get a reman from the zone, they are around $40 last time I checked. A used one will be locked up just like 90% of the ones on the road. Have you ever tried changing the ecu out?

last time i checked they wanted like 140... but that could have been a new one...
i was hoping to hold out and just upgrade all the brakes, but i guess not.

i ordered my injector seal kit. next i need to order the oring that goes inbetween the isc.
and the throttle body....nearest dealer is 50/60 miles away, which is nice.
im hoping that the injector seals will fix the problem that started with the isc.

I need help with an isc issue ive been having. I have axcess to data log and the isc never gets off 58 steps. I have a bad idle surge pulling around 15 in of vacumn. I tried to seal up every boost leak i had. I can hear a sound around the throttle body that sounds like a leak, but cant find one anywhere. Maybe it's just the aluminum intake manifold that's whislting. Please someone tell me this has happened to you????

They sell ISC and o-rings, awesome service and unbeatable price as far as I've seen. Their ISC is the newer all black mitsubishi model that is improved over the one you probably have in your car and is more reliable. Bolts on the same.

Also, check your EGR while you are down there. If you don't have a block off plate, check to see if the two vac hoses on the EGR didn't fall off. They're on the firewall side of it and hard to see.

Great site, ROW - Thanks for posting. Too bad I saw it after spending $300 for a new ISC.

I'm also having the same problems, even after replacing the ISC. I'm going to try changing the alternator to see if it makes a diff.

Yeah, Doggo up above I believe is the same one who runs that business and is very responsive to emails. Apparently he is too humble to plug his own products in this thread! ;)

Btw, I am also have continuing idle problems, even worse now that I just got my 272 cams in. I changed my ISC, eliminated EGR, and put in a new BISS. Only thing left it could be is the FIAV. I believe those four components are the only ones directly related to idle. Of course boost / vac leaks need to be checked for as well.
