Hi guys,

My car idles fine when warming up because the car runs rich until warm.. first 15 minutes or so.. After that the car idles lean and doesnt even register on my wideband, and has stalled several times.. I know the answer is going to be look at terry talons idle surge or possibly a vacuum leak..

I read on the page below that the Brown ISC's are basically out of date and the black ones were made to replace them are improved.. I have the brown one on my car.. should I just replace it to improve the idle or am I getting sold??

ISC can still be shot even though it reads properly with the ohmmeter.

Agreed. I had two used ISCs on hand to replace the bad one that came on my Talon when I bought it. Both of my ISCs AND the one already on the Talon passed the ohm test but ALL THREE were bad. I ended up getting a new one from Advance Auto.

ok guys I purchased an ISC, even though my brown one read out at 29 ohms.. Now I might say it idles slightly better, but Im still having issues when I run errands that the idle intermittently starts bouncing from 1000 to 0.. and my wideband is reading lean and blank.. If the AC is on that is usually the time it starts running warm.. Im guessing its shutting off because of the bogging?

any suggestions?
