Is this turbo "Real" or "Fake"

I went from a MHI small 16g to a turbochargers.com EVOIII GT and It felt better. Unfortunately I have no numbers for you like dyno pulls or logs but I used it for 2-3 years with no problems. I must have had one of their later models if Justin's right about what he said, and it's highly unlikely that he's wrong.

well i suppose that if you take the exhaust wheel and replace it with a real mhi exhaust wheel, it should not have any breaking issues...

True, the turbines are interchangeable- but nobody feels like putting $200 into a non-MHI turbo just to make it reliable.

The other issue is try talking someone into disassembling a turbo that is working perfectly as long as it is working in order to possibly make it more reliable....but once the turbine shaft breaks and ruins the center housing and compressor wheel, you're S.O.L.
