I was told to check my ecu... does this look good? Not sure what to look for... Not even sure if this is the ecu, doesn't look like pictures i've seen...

Is that a 2g ecu? Go in from passenger side, remove the panel on the side of the console/armrest..Theres another panal thing with carpet on it, remove that..Now if you have an auto on the left side(directly behind cd player, but don't need to remove player) there should be a box that looks like an ecu, but that is your TCU(tranny control) it sits up and down..

Now the ECU is on the floor (horizontal) held in by two 10 mm bolts on the side if I can remember..Use deep socket,or ratcheting wrench..

I don't know what a 2g ecu looks like, so I hope this helps you identify what were looking at..I see some capacitors, but don't appear to be leaking, by the photos..But also there appears to be a socket in there, unless that's stock 2g, but it's a blue socket with gold holes like the ones Steve uses..

Steve Is the ecu guy around here, I'm sure he can tell you for sure whats wrong or whats not wrong with any ecu..

Its hard to see if there is corrosion or leaking capicators from the bad quality pictures. See if you can bring up some better pictures.

i dont have a auto and that sat on the driver side. I cant even remove the passenger panel :/

6' 160lb . was a pain... i dont think this is the ecu though, looks odd .

Wow. My ECU is right in the engine bay. Help in by 4 10mm bolts.
On my 96 Auto, and 95 Manual.

don't mind him. he has a non-turbo and those have the crystler engine and ecu. ECU is in the engine bay in those but behind the radio console on the Turbo cars.
