Just went out and logged a pull. It's 2nd gear, third and i let off midway (knock) and get back in it for full 3rd gear pull and absolutely no knock.

The wideband shows that it is rather rich when she knocks in 3rd but next pull is leaner and clean.

Feel free to give me advice on the pull besides answering the question.

Thanks,

T

ps: Running 21-22 psi according to the boost gauge, sorry no map sensor. Mods are: 6 bolt, link v2, big 16g, 255hp, 660's, aero afpr, dejon fmic, plx m300

Could be. I would lean it out a litte more from 4k+. Also, do a full 2,3,4 pull all the way to redline and see how it looks. Your car seems to be happy ~11.0:1.

Sounds like it could be PK. 6 bolts are prone to it and I see you have swapped one in. Does it do it if you go wot at around 5k rpms in 2nd instead of starting low?

You're not getting rich knock at 10.8:1.

Have you done all the normal stuff like plugs, wires, boost leak test, etc? I would also richen it up a little bit in that area just to see what happens. Most DSM's like 11:1, but maybe yours likes it at 10.5:1. You never know, and it's an easy thing to test.

Ha, one month later. Better late than never tho.

I have actually leaned it out some across the board and the car seems happy, it's not knocking whatsoever. As shown in the log i posted above, it knocked and then i let off and it didn't knock again so it was just one of those "flukes" i guess.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, it's alot of timing but it's a stock 6 bolt with 7:8 comp and they run way more timing than that stock. As long as she's not knocking, i think i'll keep it that way. I should be picking up a td06h 20g setup in the next week or so, i'll definitely drop the timing for that since im aiming at running 24-25 psi. I want to turn the boost up on this 16g but im scared it won't like it too much. I recently killed a t28 running 23 psi.

Here is another log i did 9 days later. I have done a few since but i'm at work so i could only pull up the one i posted on link. I believe it is leaner than the one i posted in this thread and still no knock.

What do you guys think of it?
